The main piece of news for this month is that I finally spent a few hours removing the Hugo theme from this website!
I had been using kpulp, my own fork of the pulp theme. I forked it because it doesn’t support multiple languages. It looked decent, but occasionally something would break and prevent me from publishing new posts.
I’ve been meaning to remove it and write the design myself, but that required writing some CSS so I never really took the time.
Well, it’s done now. There are a few problems, but hope I’ll be able to make small improvements every now and then. Most importantly, I lost i18n, the footer, and the pages for tags.
Not much in GTG land - my only commit this month was just to fix some Ruff warnings. That’s part of my long-term quest to add Ruff to the pre-commit hook.
Now that we have fixed the weekly flatpak, I’m daily driving a fairly recent version, and it’s pretty great! My last problem before 0.7 is as good as 0.6 for me, is that the Actionable is still not reliable. I often need to click away from the tab and into Actionable again in order to make it display the correct list.
It’s been over a year since the megabranch was merged and the long process of getting 0.7 on par with 0.6 was started, but so is the life of a small hobby project! I’m just happy that we continuously have a few people able to dedicate some time to it.
